Mansour Bin Zayed Meets Graduates And Launches UAE Experts In Artificial Intelligence Initiative

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, recently engaged with graduates from the UAE National Experts Programme's second and third cohorts. This meeting took place during the UAE Government Annual Meetings in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Mansour expressed his pleasure in meeting these talented individuals, recognising them as representatives of the new generation's ambition and dedication to national service.

Sheikh Mansour highlighted that nurturing Emirati youth is essential for the UAE's progress under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The National Experts Programme serves as a platform to prepare specialists who will drive national development and contribute significantly to key sectors shaping the nation's future.

The programme aims to develop a diverse pool of Emirati advisors capable of fostering sustainable growth. It emphasises four main pillars: academic learning, individual mentorship, practical experience, and leadership projects. These elements are designed to enhance expertise in management, analytical thinking, and decision-making among participants.

Ahmed Talib Al Shamsi, Director of the National Experts Programme, provided an overview of its progress. He highlighted its role in building a diverse pool of Emirati advisors capable of driving sustainable development across various strategic sectors such as economic and social development, sustainability, and infrastructure.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mansour introduced the 'UAE Experts in Artificial Intelligence Programme'. This initiative aims to cultivate AI specialists to bolster the UAE’s global standing in this critical field. Over five years, it plans to train 100 AI experts through a comprehensive academic and practical curriculum that includes visits to leading international AI centres.

The gathering included 40 Emirati experts from 23 national sectors. The programme's focus is on equipping participants with skills necessary for innovative problem-solving in current and future challenges. It has become a national platform for nurturing experts who can design solutions for these challenges.

Engaging Dialogue with Graduates

In an open dialogue session with graduates, Sheikh Mansour listened to their experiences and insights gained through the programme. Discussions centred on enhancing their roles in supporting government innovation and national development projects. He urged them to apply their knowledge practically for the benefit of society.

Sheikh Mansour concluded by stressing that the UAE’s advancement relies heavily on its youth. He encouraged graduates to work collaboratively and transform their acquired skills into initiatives that serve both country and community effectively.
