ADIPEC 2025 features over 2,250 exhibitors from leading global companies across 17 exhibition halls. It includes zones dedicated to artificial intelligence, digital transformation, decarbonisation, maritime logistics, and a new exhibition on chemicals and low-carbon solutions. These areas reflect the swift evolution towards sustainable energy practices worldwide.

The theme for this year's exhibition is "Energy. Intelligence. Impact," underscoring Abu Dhabi's role as a hub for global leaders to discuss energy futures and foster international cooperation in industry and technology sectors. The event also showcases investment opportunities in emerging markets like Africa, Asia, and Latin America through 30 national pavilions.

Dr. Al Jaber noted that $4 trillion annually is needed for investments in grids, data centres, and various energy sources. He stressed that outdated infrastructure cannot support future economies. Electricity demand will surge by 2040 due to urbanisation and increased air conditioning use, necessitating significant investment in renewables and LNG.

He also highlighted ADNOC's achievements using AI technologies to improve efficiency and performance. Through AIQ, ADNOC has integrated over 200 AI applications across its operations, reducing unplanned shutdowns by half. Their flagship programme aims to make production forecasts more accurate by 90%.

The Role of Policy in Energy Development

Dr. Al Jaber called for policies grounded in reality rather than ideology, warning against regulation without realism which could weaken economies. He emphasised that energy is crucial for jobs, growth, competitiveness, and intelligence globally. The ENACT Majlis echoed this sentiment by discussing how energy combined with AI can drive economic growth.

The UAE continues to attract global capital due to its stable investment environment. Dr. Al Jaber stated that ADNOC is expanding internationally through its investment arm XRG with gas deals in countries like Mozambique and Egypt while building a global chemicals footprint across five continents.

UAE's Commitment to Sustainable Growth

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed that ADIPEC serves as a platform for exchanging knowledge and developing innovative solutions in energy transition. The UAE supports balanced energy transitions through international partnerships promoting economic growth while expanding research cooperation.

Concluding his address at ADIPEC on UAE Flag Day coinciding with the event's opening day, Dr. Al Jaber reflected on unity within the nation: "Real progress is never the work of one person or company; it happens when we move with purpose together." This sentiment captures both national pride and collective effort towards sustainable development goals.
