He praised the positive competition observed during this edition, noting that its primary goal is to support national talents in these sectors and encourage their professional growth. Additionally, it aims to motivate private sector establishments to increase their Emiratisation rates, aligning with the UAE leadership’s vision and government’s strategic plan.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, highlighted the award’s role in motivating national talents to achieve further professional success. He also recognised outstanding companies contributing to Emiratisation efforts.

The Nafis Award acknowledges private companies that embody the leadership's vision to increase Emirati talent participation in various fields and specialities, thereby enhancing their contributions to sustainable economic development.

Khaled Mohamed Balama, Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), affirmed that the bank prioritises achieving Emiratisation and empowering citizens in the financial sector. This is done through integrated strategies and a sustainable system aiming to create 5,000 job opportunities for citizens in vital positions across 22 educational pathways and 30 percent in leadership roles by 2026.

CBUAE aims to launch initiatives such as the "Ithraa" programme for Emiratisation in banking, financial, and insurance sectors. This programme exceeded its 2023 target, with Emirati citizens holding 31 percent of key positions in banks and 23 percent in the insurance sector.

Increased Participation

Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the ETCC, noted a 98 percent increase in self-nomination applications for individual categories compared to the first edition. This has helped achieve the council’s goals of developing citizens' skills in this vital sector and encouraging continued excellence.

The award provides an opportunity for citizens working in private and banking sectors to participate and celebrate their professional excellence.

Award Winners

During the ceremony, ETCC announced winners in individual categories. In ten subcategories, 30 UAE citizens working in private and banking sectors secured top three positions. The ETCC also revealed winning establishments from 14 sectors registered under the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and CBUAE.

The event was attended by several ministers, senior officials, business leaders, and public figures. The awards recognised achievements in both individual and establishment categories for 2023, honouring establishments that made significant efforts to support Emiratisation alongside ETCC partners.
