Mansour Bin Zayed Chairs Ministerial Development Council Meeting To Discuss National Priorities And Initiatives
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, led a significant meeting with ministers and senior officials from both federal and local government bodies in the UAE. This gathering marked his first time chairing the Ministerial Development Council meeting during the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025. The discussions focused on collaborative national projects across various sectors.
The agenda included examining joint governmental coordination and proposed development projects. Key areas of focus were roads and infrastructure, traffic congestion, energy, business ease, and empowering Emirati talent in the workforce. Challenges in these sectors were also discussed, along with opportunities for creating joint national initiatives to address them.
Sheikh Mansour emphasised the importance of aligning government projects with national priorities. He highlighted the need to continuously improve service quality for the community while enhancing the UAE's efficiency and competitiveness across all sectors. The discussions also covered draft regulatory decisions submitted by ministries and federal entities. Review of International Engagements
Officials reviewed outcomes from studies conducted in fields like economy, investment, and industry. They also discussed results from UAE's participation in regional and international events such as the 2025 G20 Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meeting and the World Bank Group’s Business Enabling Environment Report.
