Mansoor Bin Mohammed Explores AI Innovations At GITEX Global 2025 In Dubai

H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, attended GITEX Global 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event, running until 17th October, is the largest global gathering focused on technology and artificial intelligence (AI). Sheikh Mansoor explored numerous pavilions showcasing innovations in AI, cloud computing, robotics, big data, and smart mobility.

During his visit, Sheikh Mansoor was joined by Helal Saeed Almarri from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism; Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri from the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai; and Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori from Digital Dubai. They visited various government and corporate pavilions highlighting future technologies that bolster the UAE’s knowledge economy.

Sheikh Mansoor emphasised that "GITEX Global embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for a digital future based on innovation and collaboration between diverse industry stakeholders." He noted that the event highlights Dubai's crucial role in fostering partnerships among top global technology innovators while empowering startups to explore new growth avenues.

The exhibition featured over 6,800 tech companies and 2,000 startups from 180 countries. This underscores Dubai's status as a global hub for innovation. Organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme ‘The Future of AI: Shaping Tomorrow’s Economy,’ it showcases solutions in emerging technologies supporting responsible innovation across key sectors.

At GITEX Global 2025, Sheikh Mansoor visited several stands including e&, which displayed pioneering solutions supporting an innovation-driven economy. The K2 stand featured advanced systems like autonomous taxis and delivery vehicles. At Saudi Telecom Company (STC), initiatives advancing next-gen communications were highlighted.

He also stopped by the Dubai Police stand where 12 new AI-based innovations were introduced. These include digital platforms, interactive services, and advanced robotics aimed at enhancing security and community services. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) presented initiatives involving AI, IoT, and predictive technologies.

Highlighting Digital Transformation

Sheikh Mansoor remarked that "GITEX’s success in attracting technology leaders from around the world reflects growing international confidence in Dubai as a centre for innovation and digital transformation." He added that this event reaffirms Dubai’s leadership in driving global digital progress while supporting objectives outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

The DEWA stand showcased innovative digital services from its digital arm Digital DEWA. Meanwhile, at the UAE Space Agency stand, key projects were presented alongside interactive experiences. The Civil Defence stand highlighted smart technologies enhancing emergency response and public safety.

This year marks GITEX Global's 45th edition. It continues to be a pivotal platform for showcasing groundbreaking solutions in AI and other emerging technologies. The event plays a significant role in shaping policies that support responsible innovation across various economic sectors worldwide.
