Mansoor Bin Mohammed Opens The 46th Big 5 Global Event In Dubai To Showcase Construction Innovations

H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, inaugurated the 46th Big 5 Global event. This gathering at Dubai World Trade Centre, running until 27 November, is a major platform for urban development and construction experts. It features over 2,800 exhibitors showcasing more than 60,000 products to an audience of over 85,000 professionals.

Sheikh Mansoor emphasised the construction sector's crucial role in the UAE's growth. He noted that it turns economic and social plans into infrastructure supporting national priorities and future needs. The event highlights advanced solutions across various pavilions, reflecting the UAE’s ambitions and Dubai’s focus on digital transformation and efficient resource planning.

The Big 5 Global event underscores the UAE's dedication to sustainable development and future-ready infrastructure. This aligns with Dubai’s vision as a global hub for construction. During his tour of the exhibition, Sheikh Mansoor explored international pavilions from countries like Spain and Italy. These nations are known for their leadership in construction technologies. He also visited the Dubai Municipality pavilion to learn about initiatives promoting green building standards and energy efficiency.

Yousef Abdullah from the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure opened the Big 5 Global Leaders Summit. He highlighted the country's commitment to smart technologies and sustainable practices in infrastructure projects. "The UAE is committed to building smarter, greener and more resilient cities," he stated.

The event supports these goals by fostering collaboration between public and private sectors. It strengthens ties between government entities and urban development sectors while presenting solutions aligned with sustainability goals. This reinforces the UAE’s position as a hub for future cities.

Expansive Programme of Events

This year’s edition includes an expanded programme of CPD-certified Big 5 Talks covering fields like artificial intelligence, geotechnical engineering, HVACR systems, and project management. Over 500 speakers are participating across four strategic summits: Big 5 Global Leaders Summit, Big 5 FuturTech Summit, LiveableCitiesX Summit, and GeoWorld Summit.

Visitors can explore nine co-located exhibitions covering all aspects of construction and urban development. These include Totally Concrete, Marble and Stone World, Urban Design and Landscape, Windows Doors and Facades, HVACR World, LiveableCitiesX, GeoWorld, and FutureFM.
