Mansoor Bin Mohammed Launches Advanced AI-Powered Cargo Information System At GITEX Global 2025

During GITEX Global 2025, H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, was present for the unveiling of Dubai Customs’ Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system. This system marks a significant step forward in customs security, aiming to prevent prohibited goods from entering and reducing on-site inspections through smart data analysis.

The ACI initiative aligns with the Dubai Government’s vision for a smart and secure customs framework that supports global trade growth. The system allows for the receipt of shipment data before goods leave their origin country, enhancing preventive measures and significantly reducing the time needed to access shipment information prior to dispatch.

H.H. Sheikh Mansoor instructed Dubai Customs to enhance the integrated risk analysis system at entry points by using artificial intelligence and adopting cutting-edge digital innovations. The ACI platform consolidates various previous risk analysis systems into one unified platform powered by AI, improving operational efficiency and information security.

Blockchain technology is incorporated to ensure data reliability and integrity from original sources, while machine learning enables the system to evolve independently. This integration guarantees fast and accurate risk analysis using cargo manifest data at seaports and airports alongside customs data.

The ACI platform, enhanced by Genetic AI, performs real-time decision-making without human intervention. Insights generated through intelligent analysis are automatically sent to relevant authorities for timely action, boosting response speed and strengthening Dubai’s customs security framework's overall efficiency.

This advanced initiative demonstrates Dubai Customs’ dedication to integrating advanced AI solutions and digital transformation in its security systems. It supports the Dubai government’s vision of a smart, secure customs infrastructure that meets future demands while fostering global trade growth.

The launch event was attended by Abdulla Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai; and Dr. Abdulla Mohammed Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs. Their presence underscored the importance of this initiative in enhancing Dubai's position as a leader in customs innovation.
