Mansoor Bin Mohammed Congratulates Al Jalila Children’s Hospital For Achieving Top Ranking In Middle East Healthcare
H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, recently met with representatives from Al Jalila Children’s Hospital. This gathering celebrated the hospital's recognition as the top paediatric facility in the Middle East by Newsweek’s Best Specialised Hospitals 2026.
The meeting took place at Dubai Health's headquarters and included key figures such as Abdullah Abdulrahman Al Shaibani and Dr. Amer Sharif. Also present were Dr. Abdullah Al Khayat, CEO Emeritus of Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, and other senior officials from various departments.
During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Mansoor and the Dubai Health Board reviewed Newsweek’s rankings for specialised hospitals in the Middle East for 2026. Besides Al Jalila Children’s Hospital's top ranking, Rashid Hospital was noted for its third-place position in Orthopaedics.
H.H. Sheikh Mansoor remarked on Dubai’s status as a global healthcare leader, highlighting the city's advanced medical capabilities. He praised the dedication of healthcare teams across Dubai for their contributions to improving health outcomes globally.
The rankings by Newsweek are based on a comprehensive methodology developed with Statista. This includes patient-reported outcomes, satisfaction scores, peer recommendations, and international accreditations, establishing them as a reliable measure of healthcare quality worldwide.
Dr. Amer Sharif expressed appreciation for the ongoing support from His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He acknowledged their role in reinforcing Dubai's leadership in healthcare.
