Mansoor Bin Mohammed Presents Trophies To Dubai Premier Padel P1 Champions Agustín Tapia And Claudia Fernandez
The Dubai Premier Padel P1's second edition wrapped up at the Hamdan Sports Complex, marking a significant event in the global sports calendar. The tournament underscored the UAE's ambition to become a leading sports hub. Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello secured the men's title, while Claudia Fernandez and Bia Gonzalez triumphed in the women's category. The finals were intense, with a full house witnessing high-energy matches.
This year saw a major change at the venue. The Olympic swimming pool was transformed into a padel arena seating 8,000 people, making it the largest indoor padel venue in MENA. This transformation included four professional courts and increased capacity for fans and media, showcasing Dubai's ability to adapt its infrastructure for international sports.
H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, attended and presented trophies to winners. Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Padel Association, was also present. The event was organised by Gallop Global with support from various local entities.
The tournament was held under H.H. Sheikh Mansoor's patronage and organised by Gallop Global alongside the Dubai Sports Council, DET, and UAEPA. Ivan Modia, CEO of Gallop Global and Tournament Director, stated that this year's event reached new heights. He noted that packed arenas and vibrant fan energy highlighted Dubai's emergence as a global hub for top-tier sporting events.
The Oysho MVP Award went to Bia Gonzalez, while Agustín Tapia received the DAMAC MVP Award. The event attracted top talent from the Premier Padel circuit, reflecting both the sport's growing global appeal and Dubai's rising status as a prime location for international sports events.
Following this success, Dubai Premier Padel P1 will return in 2026 as a key stop on the Premier Padel global tour. This ensures its continued role as a flagship event for the Middle East.
