Manga Productions Unveils Trailer For Second Season Of Asateer2 Future's Folktales Set To Stream In November

Manga Productions, part of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk), has unveiled the official trailer for the second season of "Future's Folktales," a popular Saudi anime series. This season, produced with Japan's Toei Animation studio, will be available on Shahid and broadcast on MBC1 in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as TV Tokyo in Japan from November 1. It will also reach audiences in North America, Europe, and Latin America later this year.

The trailer introduces characters Maha and her brothers Rayan and Sultan as they navigate daily challenges. They find solutions through folk stories shared by their grandmother Asma, blending traditional tales with futuristic elements. This unique storytelling approach highlights the rich cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia.

Trailer Released for Asateer2 Future's Folktales

Fifteen Saudi artists and producers from Manga Productions contributed to character design and creative direction. Their work showcases diverse traditional environments and costumes from Saudi Arabia, reflecting the Arabian Peninsula's rich cultures in a novel way. The collaboration with Japanese experts aims to present these cultural elements to a global audience.

Dr. Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions, expressed pride in the international interest in "Asateer2 Future's Folktales." He stated that this interest demonstrates the success of young Saudi talents in creating content that meets global standards. "At Manga Productions, we remain committed to producing innovative works that inspire the new generation," he said.

Sara Oulddaddah, Creative Director at Manga Productions, highlighted their focus on enhancing internal production capabilities during Asateer 2's creation. She noted that providing opportunities for Saudi talents was a priority throughout all production stages. "Through Asateer2, we aim to continue sharing our inspiring Saudi culture with the world," she added.

The new season combines Saudi creativity with Japanese expertise and builds on the first season's success, which garnered over 100 million views globally. This collaboration underscores Manga Productions' dedication to maintaining high standards of quality and excellence while promoting Saudi Arabia's creative content industry.

This initiative not only showcases Saudi talent but also enhances the country's position as a hub for creativity. By blending traditional stories with modern animation techniques, "Future's Folktales" offers viewers a unique experience that celebrates both heritage and innovation.
