Manga Productions Launches Saudi Dialects Dubbing Contest To Empower Local Voice Talent

Manga Productions, part of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk), has introduced the Saudi Dialects Dubbing Contest. This initiative aims to empower Saudi voice talent and highlight the richness of local dialects. The contest aligns with Manga Productions' goal to create local content that meets global standards while reflecting Saudi cultural identity.

The contest features clips from "Asateer2: Future’s Folktales," which was broadcast globally and streamed on multiple platforms, amassing over 150 million views. It also won the Saudi Media Forum Award for Best Media and Communication Campaign. The contest encourages community engagement through weekly digital challenges on social media, showcasing regional dialects.

Sara Oulddaddah, Creative Director at Manga Productions, stated that the contest underscores their commitment to supporting local talent and celebrating cultural diversity. She noted that "Asateer2: Future’s Folktales" was chosen for its storytelling and cultural themes, providing a platform for participants to showcase their voice acting skills in various dialects.

Abdulaziz Almowani, Marketing and Communications Director at Manga Productions, highlighted that the contest reflects Saudi Arabia's rich culture and diverse dialects. He mentioned it as one of their leading projects, offering young talents a chance to express creativity through meaningful projects.

Last year, Manga Productions launched an Arabic Dubbing Contest that attracted over 1,800 participants and garnered more than 15 million views across the Arab world. This campaign showcased growing enthusiasm for voice acting and concluded with a special event featuring notable figures like Jihad Al-Atrash and Sanaa Bakr Younis.

The success of previous contests reaffirms Manga Productions' dedication to nurturing Saudi talent and developing creative content rooted in local culture. These initiatives aim to resonate with both regional and international audiences by reflecting the diversity of Saudi society.
