Manga Arabia Showcases Japanese-Language Magazines To Promote Saudi Culture At Expo Osaka
Manga Arabia, part of the Saudi Research and Media Group, has unveiled a special Japanese-language edition of its magazine. This edition targets children and young adults and is showcased at the Saudi Pavilion during Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. The initiative aims to introduce Japanese audiences to Saudi Arabia's creative achievements in manga, promote Saudi culture, and enhance cross-cultural communication.
Dr. Essam Bukhary, General Manager and Editor-in-Chief of Manga Arabia, expressed pride in this partnership. He highlighted the importance of presenting culturally rich content in Japanese using the iconic manga art form. Dr. Bukhary emphasized that participating on a global platform like Expo Osaka is significant, especially as it aligns with the 70th anniversary of Saudi-Japanese diplomatic relations.

Manga Arabia has attracted over 12 million app users across more than 195 countries. As part of its strategic expansion into the global manga industry, the company recently launched "Manga International" and established its official headquarters in Tokyo. This move underscores Manga Arabia's commitment to broadening its reach and influence worldwide.
The company has formed partnerships with major Japanese publishing houses such as Shueisha, Kodansha, Shogakukan, Kadokawa, and Hakusensha. These collaborations are crucial for Manga Arabia as it seeks to strengthen its presence in the competitive manga market by aligning with established industry leaders.
Recently, Manga Arabia received recognition from the Japanese Patent Office for its efforts in combating content piracy. The company has been actively promoting awareness of intellectual property rights within the Arab world.
