F1H2O World Championship Delegation Visits Makkah Region Deputy Governor In Jeddah
The final round of the F1H2O World Championship in Jeddah ended with strong international praise, after organisers received the "Best Organization Worldwide" award, confirming the city’s rising role in hosting major powerboat racing events and highlighting growing confidence in Saudi Arabia’s ability to manage large global sporting competitions to strict organisational and technical standards.
This recognition came after the Jeddah round of the F1H2O World Championship for powerboat racing saw intense competition with several international host cities, while the European governing body for aquatic sports and the F1H2O Championship management granted official approval that the Jeddah event achieved high levels of professionalism in planning and delivery.

During this period, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of the National Calendar Committee of Jeddah Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz received the F1H2O World Championship delegation, which expressed appreciation for continued support from the Makkah Region leadership and confirmed that cooperation with official authorities was central to the success of the Jeddah round.
Prince Saud bin Mishaal stated that water sports add clear value to Saudi Arabia’s sports and tourism sectors, explaining that Jeddah’s existing infrastructure, coastal location and logistical capabilities make the city well placed to attract further world-class powerboat racing events that support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and strengthen Jeddah’s image on the global sports map.
The delegation underlined that this achievement highlights close integration between government entities and organising bodies in the Kingdom, with the high rating for the Jeddah round reinforcing international federations’ trust in Saudi Arabia in general, and Jeddah in particular, as a venue capable of staging major championships to international expectations for safety, organisation and technology.
Prince Saud bin Mishaal commended the organisational work carried out during the Jeddah F1H2O World Championship round, noting that the event’s success reflects advanced competence in event management and enhances Jeddah’s standing as a preferred destination for global sports, while information from SPA reported that the meeting and its outcomes were recorded at 17:23 local time, 14:23 GMT.
