Makkah Bolsters Healthcare Services In Preparation For Ramadan Pilgrimage
Makkah, SPA – The Makkah Health Cluster has officially declared its preparedness for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, ensuring that all hospitals and health centres under its jurisdiction are fully equipped to offer comprehensive medical services at the highest standards. Supervised by the Ministry of Health, the operational plans for eight hospitals and 43 health centres have been meticulously completed to cater to the needs of the community and visitors during this significant period.
In anticipation of the increased number of visitors to the Grand Mosque, Ajyad Emergency Hospital is set to operate 24/7, providing urgent healthcare services. To further bolster medical care within the Holy Mosque's vicinity, three emergency centres have been strategically positioned in its corridors. These centres are outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment to efficiently manage emergency situations. Additionally, Al-Haram Hospital will serve patients from its location in the northern courtyards of the Grand Mosque.

The Makkah Health Cluster has taken significant steps to ensure that all affiliated hospitals and health centres work in a coordinated manner, facilitating smooth transitions for patients requiring transfer based on their medical needs. This integrated approach aims to deliver healthcare services swiftly and efficiently. Outpatient clinics across all facilities remain operational, ready to accommodate beneficiaries with a variety of healthcare needs.
Specialised Stroke Care
A critical aspect of the healthcare provision during Ramadan includes specialised stroke care. All hospitals in Makkah are equipped to handle stroke cases through a dedicated hotline in collaboration with the SEHA Virtual Hospital, adhering to international protocols. King Abdullah Medical City stands out as the reference hospital for heart and stroke emergencies, ensuring that stroke victims receive timely treatment as per global standards. Hospitals such as Al-Noor Specialist, King Faisal, King Abdulaziz, Hira General, Ajyad, and Maternity and Children Hospitals are also fully prepared to manage emergencies through their well-equipped departments.
The concerted efforts by the Makkah Health Cluster underscore a comprehensive readiness plan that encompasses not only emergency care but also routine medical services during Ramadan. By harnessing all available resources and developing the capabilities of its personnel, the Cluster aims to provide an exceptional level of healthcare to both residents and visitors in Makkah during this holy season.
