Makkah Greets Us Event Welcomes Over 82,000 From 60 Nationalities
The "Makkah Greets Us" event, which took place in the Hira Cultural District from April 11 to 15, attracted over 82,000 attendees from 60 different nationalities. This event, now in its second season, offered a rich tapestry of 13 recreational, cultural, and patrimonial activities designed to cater to the entire family. The event's diverse offerings not only enhanced the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations for residents and visitors of Makkah but also played a significant role in promoting the region's rich heritage, history, and culture.
Among the highlights were several cultural and recreational activities that captivated attendees. The Eid tent provided a festive atmosphere, while the Al-Noor Theater offered captivating performances. The Falcon Show and the Sound and Light Show were also among the attractions that drew large crowds. Additionally, the Road to Makkah exhibition offered an insightful journey into the pilgrimage to Makkah, showcasing its evolution from past to present.

The Revelation exhibition was another key feature of the event, employing visual techniques to narrate the stories of prophets leading up to Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him. This exhibition provided a unique educational experience for visitors, blending historical insights with modern presentation methods. Furthermore, a market dedicated to artisans allowed local craftspeople to showcase their talents, offering a variety of traditional crafts and goods for sale.
