Makkah Deputy Governor Prince Saud Bin Mishaal Inaugurates Four Modern Health Projects In Jeddah

Today, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, inaugurated four new health projects in Jeddah. These initiatives aim to improve healthcare quality for residents and advance the health sector. The event saw attendance from Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel, along with several princes, ministers, and health sector leaders.

The newly opened facilities include King's College London Hospital and Andalusia Hospital. Both are equipped with cutting-edge technology to deliver advanced medical services. Additionally, the Masar Center for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment - Bin Mahfouz was launched as the Kingdom's first private comprehensive rehabilitation center for mental health and voluntary addiction treatment.

Tamer Pharmaceutical Company is also part of these developments. The total healthcare investments in Jeddah reach approximately SAR1.9 billion, providing a clinical capacity of 430 beds. These projects highlight the strategic role of the private sector in transforming healthcare and developing the health system.

During the ceremony, Prince Saud received a certificate of appreciation from Minister Al-Jalajel on behalf of the World Health Organization (WHO). This recognition acknowledges Jeddah as the largest million-plus health city regionally, meeting 80 health, social, educational, and urban standards.

Minister Al-Jalajel stated: "Enhancing the quality of healthcare is a firm commitment to providing comprehensive services that meet the community's needs, with a focus on adopting the latest technologies and best practices. Mental health and addiction treatment are integral parts of our efforts to enhance the quality of life and well-being of individuals."
