Makkah Deputy Governor Launches Planning Meeting For Hajj 1447 AH To Enhance Pilgrim Services
Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, inaugurated a discussion panel today for the Hajj 1447 AH planning meeting. This event was organised by the Principality of Makkah Region in collaboration with the Hajj Projects Management Office under the Pilgrim Experience Program, part of Saudi Vision 2030. The meeting was attended by senior officials from agencies responsible for serving pilgrims.
In his speech, Prince Saud highlighted that the gathering aligns with directives from Saudi leadership. He emphasised the importance of providing top-notch services to pilgrims, ensuring they perform their rituals safely and peacefully. "This is a great responsibility, requiring us to redouble our efforts and integrate our roles to achieve our hopes and aspirations. The honor of serving the pilgrims requires us all to consolidate our previous successes, plan ahead, and work continuously to achieve a successful Hajj. Let the best be our ambition," he stated.

The panel included representatives from over 40 government, security, and service agencies involved in the Hajj season. Participants reviewed action plans for the 1447 AH season, following the Kingdom’s established practice of starting preparations immediately after the previous season ends. Discussions aimed at drawing lessons from Hajj 1446 AH and developing initiatives to meet leadership aspirations while enhancing integration among relevant entities.
The meeting also explored using modern technology to support service quality during Hajj. This includes anticipating challenges and ensuring smooth pilgrim flow at holy sites. The focus was on leveraging technology to enhance service delivery and address potential issues proactively.
Under Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz's patronage, who serves as Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, this initiative underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to improving pilgrim experiences. The Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah aims to ensure every aspect of Hajj is meticulously planned and executed.
The discussions also centred on creating new programs that align with Saudi Vision 2030 goals. These initiatives are designed to improve pilgrim experiences by integrating various services seamlessly. The collaborative approach aims at achieving excellence in serving pilgrims during their spiritual journey.
This comprehensive planning effort reflects Saudi Arabia's dedication to facilitating a successful pilgrimage experience each year. By focusing on continuous improvement and integration across agencies, the Kingdom strives to uphold its tradition of exceptional hospitality for pilgrims worldwide.
