MAJRA Reports Nearly 300 Companies Completing Impact Declaration Through Sustainable Impact Digital Portal
Nearly 300 companies have completed the mandatory Impact Declaration through the Sustainable Impact Digital Portal, as announced by MAJRA – National CSR Fund. This achievement is a crucial step in promoting sustainability and governance within the private sector. It represents the initial phase of applying for the Impact Seal, a federal recognition for companies contributing to the UAE’s sustainable development.
The Impact Declaration acts as a unified federal tool to evaluate a company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices, and contributions to the UAE community. These contributions can be financial, in-kind, or volunteer-based. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and measurable action within the private sector.

Sarah Shaw, CEO of Majra, highlighted that the rising engagement with both the Impact Declaration and applications for the Impact Seal indicates a growing commitment within the private sector. She stated, "At Majra, we are building a nationwide institutional environment grounded in documentation, impact measurement, and results-driven partnerships." The portal empowers companies to turn commitments into measurable contributions that support society and advance sustainable corporate responsibility in line with UAE’s vision.
Majra has received about 160 applications for the second cycle of the Impact Seal via the digital portal. Among these applications, approximately 100 were from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), while 60 came from large corporations. This demonstrates increased interest across various economic sectors in formalising their impact and boosting institutional competitiveness.
The Impact Seal is awarded in two official categories: one for large companies and another newly introduced category for SMEs. This aligns with the UAE’s National SME Agenda. The Seal is granted in three tiers—Platinum, Gold, and Silver—based on corporate impact scope and sustainability practices depth.
Launched in late 2024, the Sustainable Impact Digital Portal serves as an integrated national platform enabling streamlined submissions of declarations and applications. It offers access to services provided by Majra including documentation and accreditation of CSR projects, certified workshops, specialised studies, and capacity-building programs tailored to institutional needs.
The portal ensures alignment with national priorities and global sustainability standards. By providing these resources, it supports companies in enhancing their sustainability efforts while meeting both local and international expectations.
