Ministry Of Health Reports Significant Advancements In Ada’a Health Indicators For 2024

The Ministry of Health has reported notable improvements in the Ada’a Health platform's key indicators. This platform assesses health service providers' effectiveness and encourages competition across different areas. The progress achieved in 2023 and 2024 has enhanced service quality, response times, and beneficiary satisfaction throughout Saudi Arabia.

These advancements align with the Health Sector Transformation Program's objectives, which focus on improving health services and implementing a healthcare model inspired by Saudi Vision 2030. This vision aims to establish a vibrant society with sustainable health. The Ada’a Health data reveals that in 2024, 91% of emergency department visitors were treated within four hours, an increase from 85% in 2022.

Advancements in Ada’a Health Indicators Reported

This improvement is due to increased clinical capacity and quicker access to immediate care. Maternity and children's services experienced a 23% rise in adherence to breastfeeding practices, leading to better health outcomes for mothers and children. Additionally, key indicators related to newborn care and safety improved by over 22%, showcasing the positive impact of advancements in maternity and pediatric programs.

On the surgical front, more than 11,300 surgeries were conducted in one week, setting a record that highlights efficient clinical planning and rapid access to services. The average hospital stay decreased to about four days in 2024 from 5.5 days in 2017, marking a 27% improvement.

The average waiting time for surgeries dropped significantly by 60%, from 53 days in 2022 to just 21 days in 2024. Similarly, the waiting period for specialized clinics reduced from 23 days to 16 days during the same timeframe, representing a 30% reduction. These outcomes illustrate the health sector's dedication to continuous development and enhanced service efficiency.

This commitment is further strengthened by investments in human resources and the expansion of digital health solutions, all aimed at improving the beneficiary experience. The Ada’a Health Award was introduced by the ministry in 2018 to recognize outstanding health facilities. It supports ongoing development within the health sector and reinforces Saudi Arabia's position as a leading regional center for health and quality of life.
