Madinah National Park: A Premier Destination For Winter Leisure Activities In Madinah

Madinah National Park is a unique natural retreat in Madinah, drawing both locals and tourists, especially during winter. The park offers a blend of nature and activities suitable for all ages. Located 17 kilometres from the city centre on the Madinah–Tabuk Road, near the Saudi Grains Organization, it covers 2,698 dunums.

The park is divided into two sections: the southern part spans 1,500 dunums, while the northern part covers 1,198 dunums. Significant development projects have been undertaken in the southern section to enhance visitor readiness. These improvements include fencing, an administration building for visitor services, and restroom facilities.

Further enhancements in the southern area involved land preparation and levelling. The installation of 152 seating areas and connection to the electricity grid were also completed. Approximately 100,000 seedlings were planted with an integrated irrigation system to support them.

Nurseries capable of producing up to 800,000 seedlings have been established within the park. Infrastructure improvements include asphalting main internal roads and constructing irrigation tanks. A 2,500-meter pipeline was extended to transport treated wastewater efficiently.

Madinah National Park remains a popular destination during winter due to its vibrant natural setting. It provides ample space for family gatherings and events. The park offers a seasonal experience that enhances resident satisfaction by expanding recreational options.

This initiative aligns with the objectives of the Quality of Life Program. By offering diverse activities and services, Madinah National Park continues to be a prominent attraction for residents and visitors alike.
