Made In Saudi Pavilion At GITEX AFRICA Highlights 28 Leading Technology Companies

The Saudi Export Development Authority, known as Saudi Exports, is set to participate in GITEX AFRICA 2025 in Marrakech from April 14 to 16. As the partner country sponsor, they will feature a "Made in Saudi" pavilion showcasing 28 national technology and communications companies. This initiative highlights their dedication to enhancing the global presence of Saudi businesses and expanding their export capabilities.

GITEX AFRICA serves as a prominent international platform that gathers major entities and companies specialising in technology and communications. It acts as a hub for innovation and networking within the tech industry. The event provides an opportunity for Saudi Exports to showcase its commitment to supporting national tech products and companies while expanding their reach both locally and internationally.

Saudi Pavilion Showcases Tech Companies at GITEX

In recent years, Saudi service exports, including those in the communications sector, have seen significant growth. In 2024, these exports increased by 8% compared to the previous year, reaching SAR196 billion. This growth reflects the authority's ongoing efforts to support and empower service sectors by providing streamlined pathways for accessing new markets and driving expansion.

Around 100 national tech companies are now registered under the "Saudi Tech" label, a sub-brand of the main "Made in Saudi" identity. This sub-brand aims to bolster national tech products and companies while expanding their local and international reach. By participating in specialised global exhibitions like GITEX AFRICA, Saudi Exports enhances the global image of Saudi goods and services.

Saudi Exports' participation in such events facilitates direct connections between exporters and potential buyers, fostering broader cooperation and growth in non-oil exports. These efforts align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the national economy’s sources of income. The leadership's aspirations are reflected in these initiatives that seek to enhance economic diversification.

The authority is keen on engaging in specialised global exhibitions that serve as dynamic platforms for industry professionals and stakeholders. These platforms allow them to explore available opportunities while enhancing the global image of Saudi goods and services. Such participation ultimately fosters broader cooperation and growth in non-oil exports.

This strategic involvement not only boosts the visibility of Saudi businesses but also strengthens their position in international markets. By aligning with Vision 2030 goals, these efforts contribute significantly to diversifying the nation's economic sources beyond oil revenues.
