Ma’an Unveils Community Contribution Report Highlighting AED 98.6 Million For Social Projects In Abu Dhabi
The Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, Abu Dhabi's official channel for social contributions, has unveiled its 2024 community contribution report. This report highlights the impact of various projects supported by the Authority to enhance social development in Abu Dhabi. Over the past year, funding was directed to key partners who initiated 51 projects across sectors like health, education, and environment to address critical social needs in the city.
Abdullah Al Ameri, Director-General of Ma’an, stated, "Established to drive community engagement and build a culture of giving, The Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an plays an integral role in enhancing the quality of life for community members in Abu Dhabi. In the ‘Year of Community’, the Authority’s evolving growth is evident in its year-on-year increase in community contributions, a further testament of its dedication to building a collaborative community that supports one another."

A total of AED98.6 million was distributed across several sectors. The health sector received AED36.8 million for nine projects focused on healthcare services. The social sector was allocated AED33.6 million through 26 projects aimed at empowering community groups in Abu Dhabi. Education initiatives received AED20 million across eight projects to improve educational opportunities.
Environmental and Infrastructure Initiatives
The environment and infrastructure sector benefited from AED8.2 million, supporting eight projects that promote sustainable development and infrastructure enhancement. Additionally, Ma’an raised AED2.7 million through various platforms like ATM and ADPAY, benefiting multiple community groups through four different projects.
Faisal Al Hmoudi, Executive Director at Ma’an’s Social Investment Fund, remarked on their commitment: "As the government of Abu Dhabi’s official channel to receive social contributions, we are dedicated to channelling contributions towards social projects led by our partners across various sectors to promote community development and build a cooperative, active and inclusive society."
Building Partnerships for Positive Change
Ma’an collaborates with government bodies, private entities, social enterprises, and non-profits to fund initiatives that tackle societal priorities directly impacting communities. They also assist private sectors in achieving Corporate Social Responsibility goals by linking them with significant societal projects.
Contributions can be made via their website or mobile app available on Apple and Android devices. Bank transfers or ATMs are also options for those wishing to support these initiatives. Through these efforts, Ma’an aims to foster a culture of giving that actively involves community members in funding impactful social projects.
The Authority's work underscores its commitment to fostering shared responsibility among residents while ensuring long-term benefits for Abu Dhabi's diverse communities.
