Ma'an And Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Collaborate To Enhance Community Engagement Through Social Initiatives
The Authority of Social Contribution - Ma'an has joined forces with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) to enhance community involvement through various social initiatives. These initiatives focus on sectors like health, education, and the environment, supporting Abu Dhabi's mission to foster a united society. The signing event was attended by Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development (DCD), Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri, Director-General of Ma'an, Ala'a Eraiqat, Group CEO of ADCB, and other senior officials.
ADCB has committed AED25 million over five years to support social and environmental projects that align with its values. This financial contribution will be managed and allocated to ensure a meaningful impact on the community. ADCB will rely on detailed reports to evaluate the economic and social effectiveness of each initiative, ensuring a robust social impact.

The partnership aims to help organisations in Abu Dhabi meet their corporate social responsibility (CSR) or Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs). It ensures that all funding is directed towards specific social causes identified within Abu Dhabi. The authority acknowledges these contributions through the Abu Dhabi Social Responsibility Label, which highlights corporate commitment to CSR.
The collaboration also seeks to boost corporate volunteering and employee engagement in community-benefiting programmes. The authority will identify valuable volunteering opportunities for ADCB employees, encouraging their involvement in initiatives that leave a lasting positive effect. ADCB plans to channel resources into social projects for tangible results and expand its financial literacy programmes to empower more individuals with informed financial decision-making skills.
Al Khaili expressed that the agreement with ADCB enables the authority to broaden its services across the emirate, effectively addressing both citizens' and expatriates' needs. "The authority empowers the private sector through innovative mechanisms to allocate contributions aimed at maximising social impact," stated Al Ameri.
Eraiqat remarked on the significance of this collaboration: "This collaboration marks another milestone in our journey towards a future of balanced economic growth and social responsibility." He praised Ma'an as a professional model focusing on community empowerment through innovative approaches aligned with sustainable development goals set by wise leadership.
This partnership between Ma'an and ADCB represents a significant step towards achieving balanced economic growth while fulfilling social responsibilities in Abu Dhabi. Through strategic initiatives and financial commitments, both entities aim to create a cohesive society where every contribution leads to substantial community benefits.
