M42 Launches New Operating Structure To Propel Innovation In Global Healthcare Sector

M42, a global leader in healthcare, has introduced a new operational framework to enhance innovation and focus on strategic priorities. This restructuring aims to boost both local and international business growth. The new setup includes four platforms under M42, designed to support strategic growth ambitions such as organic and inorganic expansion, entering new markets, forming partnerships to address global healthcare gaps, and using AI to transform traditional healthcare systems.

The group level of M42 will concentrate on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, human capital management, legal affairs, communications, procurement, and risk management. The new model also establishes four platforms that will operate with greater independence and accountability as they pursue M42's shared goals.

The "Global Patient Care" platform operates 480 clinics across 26 countries, serving 15 million patients annually. It offers services like Renal Care, Outpatient and Chronic Disease Management, Diagnostics, Women's & Children's Health, Specialty Surgery, and Long-Term Care. Dimitris Moulavasilis has been appointed CEO of this platform. Supporting him are Dr. Ali Anees as COO for the UAE and Bahrain; Dr. Mai Al Jaber as CEO of Outpatient Care; Dr. Laila Abdel Wareth as CEO of Diagnostics; and Dr. Summia Zaher as CEO of the Women & Children's Care cluster.

The "Integrated Health Solutions" platform focuses on national programmes and population health by providing precise, preventive care. It addresses global health disparities through Genomics, National Programmes, Biobank initiatives, Data Services, Environmental Sciences, and clinical research. Dr. Fahed Al Marzooqi leads this platform as Chief Executive Officer.

Digital Health Solutions Platform

The "Digital Health Solutions" platform builds on successes like Malaffi to scale digital innovations and AI-driven solutions for better patient outcomes. It aims to empower healthcare providers in the UAE and beyond by improving access to healthcare services. Kareem Shahin serves as the Chief Executive Officer of this platform.

AI Life Sciences Platform

The "AI Life Sciences" platform is dedicated to drug discovery and development by leveraging AI across the life sciences value chain. This initiative focuses on enhancing M42's capabilities in this area with Dr. Fahed acting as CEO until a permanent chief executive is appointed.

M42's ongoing emphasis on cloud technology and engineering supports all platforms in delivering services effectively to people worldwide.
