Lunate Launches AI Data Power Infrastructure ETF To Enhance Investment Opportunities
Lunate, a global investment firm based in Abu Dhabi, has introduced the Boreas S&P AI Data, Power & Infrastructure UCITS ETF. This marks their 20th Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) and the second thematic ETF in the Boreas series. The launch is part of Lunate's strategy to expand its public markets offerings for both institutional and individual investors.
The AI Data Power ETF is designed to provide investors with access to companies involved in developing infrastructure and power systems crucial for the AI economy. It is the first UCITS ETF focusing on these sectors. The ETF will track the S&P Transatlantic AI-Related Data Center & Power Supply Infrastructure Index and is set to list on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on 25th November.

Lunate Capital Limited, licensed by ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority, will manage this ETF. Northwind, led by Geir Espeskog and Christopher Vass, advised Lunate on its ETF strategy. The fund aims to include 35 companies poised to maximise economic value from AI-related themes globally, featuring firms like Oracle and Siemens.
Sherif Salem, Partner and Head of Public Markets at Lunate, highlighted that this launch follows their successful Boreas Solactive Quantum Computing ETF debut. "The launch of the AI Data Power ETF...marks a significant milestone in our strategy," he stated. This expansion addresses investor demand for transformative themes shaping future economic value creation.
Geir Espeskog from Northwind remarked on the significance of AI data centres as digital age factories. He noted that investments in AI and power infrastructure might surpass $1 trillion annually by 2030. This growth supports companies building and powering the AI economy, with Lunate leading innovative theme launches.
Salem Alnuaimi, Group CEO of ADX Group, emphasised ADX's commitment to expanding investment options with this listing. "The upcoming listing...underscores ADX’s commitment to broadening investment choices," he said.
