Lunate Appoints HSBC As First International Authorised Participant For ETF Range
Lunate, an independent investment management firm based in Abu Dhabi, has announced HSBC Bank UK as an Authorised Participant (AP) for its UCITS and SCA-regulated ETF ranges. This marks HSBC as the first international AP on Lunate's ETF platform and the seventh overall. The partnership with HSBC, a major global banking institution serving over 40 million customers, is expected to enhance liquidity and trading accessibility for Lunate's clients.
HSBC's involvement is anticipated to increase the visibility of Lunate's ETF products globally. This aligns with Lunate's strategy to expand and diversify its investor base in public markets. Sherif Salem, Partner & Head of Public Markets at Lunate, expressed satisfaction with this development, stating it represents a significant milestone in expanding the UAE stock markets' ETF ecosystem.

Nabeel Albloushi, Head of Markets and Securities Services, MENAT at HSBC, commented on their new role as the first international AP on Lunate’s platform. He highlighted the strength of their partnership and shared ambition to broaden market access in the UAE. This collaboration reflects HSBC’s dedication to advancing accessible capital markets and supporting the UAE’s evolving ETF landscape.
Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group CEO of ADX, congratulated both Lunate and HSBC on their collaboration. With 16 ETFs listed on ADX, this collaboration aims to support long-term growth and provide investors with future-focused opportunities.
Lunate is recognised as a pioneer in the regional ETF sector. It offers a comprehensive suite of market ETFs listed on both the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and Dubai Financial Market (DFM).
