Sheikh Hamdan Highlights UAE's Role At Arabian Travel Market 2025 In Dubai
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. He was joined by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Airline and Group.
The ATM 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre until 1st May 2025, has attracted approximately 2,800 exhibitors from 161 countries. This year’s theme is 'Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity’. It highlights innovation and collaboration in shaping global tourism's future.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that the UAE's leadership has laid a strong foundation for its role as a global hub for innovation and sustainable growth. "The Arabian Travel Market has firmly established itself as a key event on the global tourism calendar," he stated, highlighting its importance in connecting global markets.
During his visit, Sheikh Hamdan explored various international pavilions showcasing tourism offerings and hospitality services. He noted that ATM provides a valuable platform for stakeholders to collaborate and build partnerships that support industry growth.
Sheikh Hamdan stressed the significance of investing in world-class infrastructure and fostering international partnerships to boost economic growth. "By continuing to invest in world-class infrastructure... we are empowering this sector to accelerate sustainable economic growth," he said.
This year’s ATM has seen a notable increase in international exhibitor participation, with Asia up by 20 percent, the Middle East by 15 percent, Europe by over 12 percent, and continued growth from Africa and the Americas.
The event features more than 200 speakers leading over 70 sessions across different stages. The programme covers topics like aviation's future, hospitality trends, climate action initiatives, and AI adoption in the sector. It aims to explore emerging trends and share best practices globally.
ATM 2025 brings together professionals from leisure, business events (MICE), luxury, and corporate travel sectors. It is organised with support from key partners like Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (Destination Partner) and Emirates (Official Airline Partner).
Accompanying Sheikh Hamdan were Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence; Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism; and Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Almarri.
The event expects to welcome around 55,000 attendees this year. It continues to play a crucial role in attracting investment and creating high-value opportunities across various industries within the UAE economy.
