Liwa International Festival 2025 Concludes With Intense Competitions And Celebrated Winners

The Liwa International Festival 2025, a major winter event and sporting highlight in the region, concluded recently. The festival, known for its dune-climbing challenges at Tel Moreeb, saw fierce competition among top racers. Over 23 days, from December 13 to January 4, the event attracted large crowds and notable figures, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and competitive spirit.

The festival's final rounds were filled with excitement and intense rivalry across different categories. In the Turbo 8-Cylinder category, Emirati Youssef Mohammed Al Ali secured first place with a time of 6.915 seconds. Saudi Meshari Mohammed Al Khalidi followed closely in second place with 6.946 seconds, while Omani Hassan Mohammed Boushanib took third with 7.520 seconds.

Liwa International Festival 2025 Wraps Up Successfully

In the Gas 6-Cylinder category, Syrian Abdullah Ismail Mohammed emerged victorious with a time of 6.522 seconds. Emirati Muzahim Mohammed Al Kaabi came second at 7.070 seconds, and Emirati Faisal Hassan Al Balushi finished third at 7.194 seconds. The Open Class saw Emirati Jassim Mohammed Al Ali take first place with a time of 6.843 seconds.

Syrian Mohammed Amin Ismail claimed second place in the Open Class with a time of 7.019 seconds, while Emirati Hamad Mohammed Al Ahbabi secured third at 7.218 seconds. In the Hilux category, Saudi Mehdi Mohammed Al Saloom won first place with an impressive time of 5.243 seconds.

Saudi Khalif Abdulrahman Al Khalif achieved second place in the Hilux category at 6.275 seconds, followed by Saudi Mohammed Saeed Al Hamdan in third at 6.443 seconds. The Stock Category was led by Emirati Essa Abdullah Musharrek with a time of 7.638 seconds.

Electric and Hybrid Cars Categories

Emirati Khalid Abdullah Rashid took second place in the Stock Category at 7.953 seconds, while Saudi Hashem Adel Al Masaed finished third at 7.998 seconds. In the Electric Cars Category, Emirati Ahmed Khalfan Al Mansoori claimed first place.

Emirati Rashid Abdullah Al Ketbi secured second place in the Electric Cars Category, followed by Emirati Hilal Al Khatri in third position. The Hybrid Cars Category saw Emirati Hamad bin Musa Al Balushi take first place.

Recognition and Acknowledgments

Emirati Awadh Khalifa Al Hamli achieved second place in the Hybrid Cars Category, while Emirati Ahmed Hiyyi Al Hamli finished third. The Saud Al Tel category drew significant attention due to its intense competition and high level of preparation among participants.

The festival concluded with an awards ceremony attended by key figures like Abdullah Butti Al Qubaisi and others from Liwa Sports Club leadership. Abdullah Butti Al Qubaisi expressed pride in this year's achievements: "This year’s competitions were exceptional, showcasing the spirit of challenge and determination among the participants."

He further stated that "the Saud Al Tel category demonstrated fierce competition and outstanding performances." He also thanked partners and sponsors for their contributions to this successful event.

The festival ended on a note highlighting heritage sports that connect tradition with modernity, reinforcing its status as a key event on the region’s sporting and cultural calendar.
