LPTC Recognises Achievements At Riyadh International Book Fair Awards Ceremony
The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission (LPTC) celebrated the winners of the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024 awards at King Saud University. The event commenced with a speech by Dr. AbdulLatif Al-Wasil, General Manager of LPTC, who highlighted the fair's role in promoting culture and supporting Saudi Arabia's publishing industry. He commended all participating publishers for their significant contributions to this cultural event.
Dr. Mohammed Hasan Al-Awan, CEO of LPTC, acknowledged the sponsors and award winners of the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024. He also honoured representatives from the "Cultural Channel," a sponsor of the fair, along with CASHIN, the technical sponsor. CASHIN was recognised for providing innovative technical solutions that enhanced payment and purchasing experiences at the fair.

The "Excellence in Publishing" award for children's literature was given to Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press. This recognition was for its efforts in creating content that enriches children's minds and fosters a love for reading and learning among future generations. The award highlights their commitment to nurturing young readers.
Dar Jabal Amman Publishers received the "Excellence in Publishing" award for digital platforms. They were acknowledged for effectively using digital platforms to spread knowledge and reach a broader audience through innovative methods. This award underscores their role in advancing digital publishing.
Aser Al-Kotob was awarded the "Excellence in Publishing" award for translation. This accolade recognises their efforts in bridging communication between languages and cultures by transferring ideas and knowledge across different societies. Their work plays a crucial role in fostering cross-cultural understanding.
The final "Excellence in Publishing" award was presented to Tatheer Publishing and Distribution. This award celebrates outstanding Saudi content that reflects the nation's rich culture and heritage, supporting local creativity. Tatheer's contributions highlight Saudi Arabia's cultural richness through exceptional publishing efforts.
The ceremony underscored the importance of recognising achievements in literature, publishing, and translation within Saudi Arabia. By honouring these contributors, LPTC aims to inspire continued excellence and innovation in these fields, further enriching cultural dialogue both locally and globally.
