Lebanon's President Joseph Aoun Explores Cultural Significance Of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque In Abu Dhabi

Lebanon's President Joseph Aoun recently toured the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. He was joined by Lebanese Foreign Minister and Minister of Expatriates, Youssef Rajji. Dr. Yousef Al-Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, guided them through the mosque’s halls and exterior corridors.

The delegation explored the mosque's cultural message, which focuses on coexistence, tolerance, and openness. This message is inspired by the values of the UAE's founding father. They also learned about the mosque's role in promoting Islamic culture and enhancing global cross-cultural communication.

Lebanon's President Visits Sheikh Zayed Mosque

During their visit, they were briefed on the mosque’s history and its stunning architectural features. The mosque is adorned with distinctive Islamic art that enhances its beauty. The delegation saw unique collections that showcase Islamic civilisation through diverse artistic and architectural designs.

The Lebanese president expressed admiration for the mosque, stating: "This dazzling religious landmark, with its beauty, architecture, and religious symbolism, demonstrates the keenness of the sisterly United Arab Emirates to enhance places of worship on its land and make them spaces for meeting, prayer, and unity."
