Lebanon's Minister Of Information Ziad Makary Commends UAE For Swift Humanitarian Response Amid Ongoing Crisis

Lebanon is experiencing severe challenges due to ongoing Israeli aggression. Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, expressed gratitude to the UAE for its timely support. The UAE was the first to provide humanitarian and medical aid, arriving when Lebanon needed it most. This assistance is crucial as Lebanon faces shortages in medical supplies and essential goods.

The UAE has pledged $100 million in aid, continuing to supply vital resources. Makary emphasised that this isn't merely about aid; it's a significant demonstration of Arab unity. He also acknowledged the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt for their ongoing support during this crisis.

Lebanon Praises UAE's Humanitarian Aid Efforts

Makary highlighted the UAE's swift deployment of aircraft to deliver aid, which comes amid Lebanon's humanitarian and health crises. He condemned Israel's actions as "brutal and unjustified," accusing them of targeting civilians and infrastructure. He called on the international community to intervene immediately to prevent a humanitarian disaster.

Makary compared Lebanon's dire situation to Gaza's, urging urgent international intervention. He explained that areas like Beirut, Beqaa Governorate, Mount Lebanon, and the South face daily bombardments. "We always hold on to the slim hope of diplomatic solutions," he stated, acknowledging the harsh reality of continuous attacks.

He stressed that Lebanon is under relentless bombardment around the clock. The situation is unprecedentedly severe, threatening stability and future prospects. Makary hopes for international solutions to halt this aggression.

Importance of Continued Support

Makary concluded by highlighting the need for sustained Arab and international support. Lebanon stands at a critical juncture and requires all possible assistance to navigate through these challenging times effectively.
