LEARN 2025 Conference Launches Initiatives To Empower National Talents For Leadership In The Smart Era
The "LEARN 2025" Conference began today in Riyadh at Mohammed bin Salman Nonprofit City, also known as Misk City. Organised by the LEARN platform with support from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the event features 205 speakers and 65 local and international organisations. Experts from within Saudi Arabia and abroad are presenting cutting-edge solutions to develop future skills and technologies.
During a session titled "Policy Innovation for Workforce Empowerment: Advancing Skills Through Government Initiatives," Safa Al-Rashed, Acting Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Future Capabilities and Jobs, highlighted the importance of equipping young talent with advanced technology. She stated, "Empowering young talent with advanced technology is the main driver of digital economy growth." Al-Rashed stressed that true investment is in nurturing a generation that questions and innovates, turning new tools into valuable assets for a prosperous future.

The conference launched several initiatives to empower national talents for leadership in the smart era. Among these is the National Talent Enablement Program in AI Agent Technologies, which aims to train 2,000 Saudi experts in agent-based AI systems. Additionally, a specialised diploma will support data centres and AI development. The PUBG MOBILE WOW Hackathon invites university students to create immersive experiences inspired by Saudi culture.
Abdulaziz AlMugyteeb, Chairman of the Conference Board, emphasised five essential skills necessary for an innovative generation to thrive amidst technological changes. He noted that these skills are crucial in an era where four generations coexist, requiring robust knowledge momentum and profound human understanding.
The Fuel Quantum Program by the Saudi Digital Academy was also introduced to provide trainees with foundational quantum computing knowledge. This initiative prepares participants for future technological advancements. Furthermore, a national initiative with Microsoft aims to train over 100,000 individuals through the Microsoft Center of Excellence.
The conference also announced the "One Million Minds" Program targeting university students and graduates. This program offers advanced training tracks in data science and artificial intelligence to enhance their skills for future challenges.
The event underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to developing its workforce's capabilities through strategic partnerships and innovative programs. By focusing on technology-driven education and training, the Kingdom aims to position itself as a leader in digital transformation.
