LEAP25 Conference Day 3 Sees $1.79 Billion In Technology Investments And Innovation Growth
The third day of the LEAP25 conference showcased significant investments from major tech companies and startups, solidifying Saudi Arabia's role as a regional tech hub. Investments announced totaled $1.79 billion, focusing on digital talent development, AI, cloud computing, and technological infrastructure. These initiatives aim to bolster the Kingdom's position as a global destination for technology and AI investments.
Equinix revealed plans for the region's largest cloud-computing data center, investing over $1 billion. This move strengthens Saudi Arabia’s status as a global hub for cloud services and technological innovation. Meanwhile, White Helmets introduced the "Asif" AI agent to boost efficiency in construction projects, aligning with future advancements.

Hands On Global Management launched a $300 million fund to develop and distribute games locally and internationally. The company also plans to establish a new headquarters in Saudi Arabia to support the gaming industry's growth and expand its global reach. Additionally, the National Technology Development Program (NTDP) introduced accelerators and funding worth $150 million to foster IT sector innovation.
Joa Capital initiated an $80 million infrastructure fund in partnership with Buildnow Trading to cater to Saudi Arabia's booming construction sector. Ula Capital unveiled the first Saudi fund dedicated to applied AI and deep tech projects, valued at $75 million, aiming to strengthen leadership in these advanced fields.
Merit successfully completed its Series B investment round, securing $28 million to enhance its innovative tech solutions and expand globally. UltiAcademy also raised $28 million in a Series B funding round led by Rua Ventures, with participation from the Jordan Investment and Venture Capital Fund. This investment will aid in launching a generative AI-powered digital learning platform.
BRKZ closed its Series A funding round's second phase, securing $22.5 million to advance smart construction technology in Saudi Arabia. Buildnow obtained $9.76 million in funding led by Arbah and STV to improve digital solutions for the construction supply chain across MENA.
Talent Development Initiatives
Microsoft partnered with the National Academy of Information Technology to launch the region’s first data-center academy offering specialized AI programs. Huawei expanded its digital talent development investments by launching an AI Knowledge Hub aimed at training 25,000 people.
Accenture established its first regional academy focusing on cybersecurity, data and AI, digital engineering, manufacturing, and emerging technologies with a goal of training 15,000 individuals. Atomcamp launched a regional academy targeting advanced education in data science and AI for 20,000 people.
Torod company concluded its Series A funding round by raising $11.3 million led by Waed company to develop an AI-powered logistics agent. Hydratac Inc. invested $3 million in Hands On Global Management’s fund for military shooting simulation games aiming at innovation in regional gaming.
The LEAP25 conference highlighted Saudi Arabia's commitment to becoming a leader in technology innovation through substantial investments across various sectors including gaming, construction, IT startups, and talent development initiatives.
