LEAP 2025 Unveils Over $7.5 Billion In Tech And AI Investments On Day Two
On the second day of LEAP 2025, a global technology event, investments surpassed $7.5 billion. These funds are directed towards enhancing digital infrastructure and fostering innovation in artificial intelligence (AI). This initiative aims to position Saudi Arabia as a leading regional hub for technology and innovation.
DataVolt, in partnership with NEOM, announced a $5 billion investment to build the first fully sustainable AI data center in OXAGON. This facility will have a capacity of 1.5 GW and aims to become a global hub for advanced computing and innovation.

Alfanar has committed $1.4 billion to develop four data centers with a combined capacity of 88 MW. This project is expected to support the growth of Saudi Arabia's digital economy and enhance business solutions within the country.
Mobily has pledged $911 million towards key projects that include submarine cable networks and advanced data centers. This strategic move is set to improve the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure significantly.
Zoom has allocated $75 million to boost AI innovation and establish new data centers. This investment will strengthen support for tech enterprises and government entities, further driving digital expansion in the region.
Saudi Arabia Railways plans to invest $51 million in a private fiber-optic network. This initiative aims to enhance digital connectivity and expand the country's communications infrastructure.
Pioneering Advanced Air Mobility
SkyFive has unveiled a $100 million investment in non-terrestrial network services, highlighting Saudi Arabia's growing role as a regional hub for technological innovation. The focus will be on pioneering Advanced Air Mobility solutions.
HPE announced plans to expand its "Made in KSA" initiative by localizing HPE Aruba solutions. This effort aims to enhance infrastructure with security-first and AI-powered networking capabilities.
LEAP 2025: A Platform for Innovation
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), along with the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones (SFCPD), Tahaluf, an alliance between SFCPD and Informa PLC, and the Events Investment Fund (EIF), organized LEAP 2025. The event gathers global tech leaders to exchange insights, foster connections between investors and startups, and showcase innovative technologies.
LEAP features educational experiences, workshops, and thought leadership sessions like "LEAP Into Innovation" by the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA). Discussions cover future-focused topics such as green hydrogen, carbon-neutral cities, sustainable mining, and space exploration.
