Embassy of India In Abu Dhabi Unveils GPSP 2.0 For Streamlined Passport Services
The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of the Seva Programme (GPSP 2.0) for all passport services starting from 28 October 2025. Applicants can use the new online portal for their passport-related needs now onwards. The portal can be accessed at: https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in/gpsp/AuthNavigation/Login.
To apply, users must first register by selecting the "Register" link on the portal. After registration, they should log in using their Login ID and Password through the "Login" link. On reaching the Applicant Home Page, they need to select the appropriate option to create a new application. Once submitted successfully, applicants should print out the form and book appointment via https://indiavisa.blsinternational.com/uae/appointment/bls_appmnt/login.
New Features in GPSP 2.0
The GPSP 2.0 system introduces e-passports, which include a chip with digitised data of passport holders, facilitating smoother immigration clearance. Additionally, applicants can upload their ICAO-compliant photograph, signature, and supporting documents directly onto the PSP portal. This feature is designed to reduce waiting times at BLS Centres.
Applicants are advised to review the ICAO-compliant photograph guidelines available on the Embassy of India's website: https://www.indembassyuae.gov.in/pdf/Guidelines-for-ICAO-Compliant-Photographs-for-Passport-Applications-new.pdf.
This ensures that photographs meet necessary standards before uploading them onto the GPSP 2.0 portal.
Application Corrections Made Easier
In cases where minor corrections are needed in passport applications, applicants will not have to retype their applications at BLS centres. The new system allows service providers to make necessary corrections to already filled or submitted applications without any extra charge.
The introduction of these features aims to streamline and simplify the passport application process for users in Abu Dhabi and beyond. By leveraging technology, the Embassy seeks to enhance efficiency and user experience in obtaining passports.
