Latifa Bint Mohammed Explores Technological Innovations At GITEX Global 2025
H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, attended GITEX Global 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This event is the largest exhibition for technology and artificial intelligence worldwide. During her visit, she explored the latest innovations and digital solutions showcased by exhibitors from approximately 180 countries.
Sheikha Latifa praised the efforts behind organising this global event, now in its 45th edition. She acknowledged GITEX Global's role as a major platform uniting pioneers and leading institutions from the technology sector. This gathering creates opportunities to advance innovation and improve human wellbeing.
Sheikha Latifa highlighted that technology today influences every aspect of life, including cultural and creative development. With each technological breakthrough, new tools for expression emerge, allowing people to engage with art and knowledge in novel ways. Integrating modern technologies into culture reshapes creativity, making it more inclusive and impactful.
During her tour of GITEX Global's 45th edition, Sheikha Latifa visited several national and international pavilions. The event featured over 6,800 technology companies and 2,000 startups globally. She was joined by Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State; Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director-General of the Community Development Authority; and Aisha Miran, Director-General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority.
At the UAE Cybersecurity Council pavilion, Sheikha Latifa learned about initiatives supporting digital transformation and safeguarding cyberspace in the UAE. The Council's international partnerships aim to enhance global cybersecurity cooperation and solidify the UAE's position as a hub for technological innovation.
She also visited EDGE Group's pavilion, a leading UAE technology conglomerate. Here, she was briefed on advanced innovations in cybersecurity and defence technologies. Additionally, she explored offerings from international companies like CrowdStrike and Recorded Future that specialise in cybersecurity and digital asset protection.
