Latifa Bint Mohammed Visits Dubai Watch Week 2025 To Celebrate Its 10th Anniversary
H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Arts and Culture Authority, recently visited the seventh edition of Dubai Watch Week. This event, held under her patronage, is a significant non-commercial gathering that promotes cultural exchange and community engagement. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Dubai Watch Week continues to be a platform for creativity and innovation in the watchmaking industry.
The 2025 edition of Dubai Watch Week is scheduled from 19 to 23 November at Dubai Mall and Burj Park. It features over 90 watch brands, offering a diverse programme with global launches, events, and activations. The event attracts experts and enthusiasts eager to explore the rich heritage of watchmaking and its evolving ideas.
H.H. Sheikha Latifa expressed her commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance Dubai’s status as a global hub for excellence. She stated, "Today, we celebrate an event that has grown into a global platform where creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation converge." Her words highlight the importance of Dubai Watch Week in establishing the city as a destination for watchmaking pioneers.
Hind Seddiqi, CEO of Dubai Watch Week, acknowledged H.H. Sheikha Latifa's support as crucial to the platform's success. This year’s programme promises new formats and standout moments with leading brands. The Collectors Lounge returns to celebrate Ahmed Seddiqi’s 75th anniversary, marking a milestone for this luxury retailer of watches and jewellery. Over 23,000 guests attended in 2023, showcasing the event's growing appeal.
Dubai Watch Week will host more than 20 brand launches along with key opinion leaders and regional visionaries. A notable session includes an opening keynote by Jean-Frédéric Dufour, CEO of Rolex, alongside Abdul Hamied Seddiqi from Seddiqi Holding. Their discussion is titled ‘The Time to Act is Now - A Note to the Watch Industry.’
Unique Offerings and Discussions
The platform will introduce a CEO Roundtable: Horology Edition for the first time. Influential leaders like Georges Kern and Ilaria Resta will engage in candid dialogue about horology's future. This rare gathering promises insightful conversations on industry trends.
Additional programming includes two Arabic panel discussions focusing on regional luxury markets and family business strategies. Renowned calligrapher Hazem Kurdali will make a live appearance, while Alia Bent Sultan presents an exhibition titled ‘Dubai Races Against Time,’ showcasing Dubai's rarity and excellence.
