Latifa Bint Mohammed Launches 10th Edition Of Dubai Design Week Celebrating Global Creativity
H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, opened the 10th Dubai Design Week at Dubai Design District (d3). This event, organised with d3 and supported by Dubai Culture, marks a key moment in the UAE's creative journey. It highlights Dubai's dedication to promoting local and international creative talent.
The current edition of Dubai Design Week offers a diverse programme featuring over 10 exhibitions, 60 workshops, and 40 installations until 10 November. A new marketplace showcases more than 70 regional artisans, entrepreneurs, and culinary innovators. This platform allows creatives from various fields to present their work to a global audience.
Sheikha Latifa expressed pride in Dubai’s evolution as a vibrant hub for artists and designers. "Dubai Design Week reflects the creativity, resilience, and vision that define our city and its people," she stated. The event celebrates a decade of achievements while laying a foundation for future design growth in the region.
Reflecting on the event's journey, Sheikha Latifa highlighted Dubai’s role as a champion of cultural initiatives. This year’s programme includes exhibitions and installations exploring themes like interactive design and technology-driven art. These events blend traditional craftsmanship with modern design elements. Over 60 workshops led by industry experts offer participants hands-on experience and innovative techniques.
The 'Marketplace' celebrates regional craftsmanship across jewellery, fashion, and culinary arts with over 70 artisans participating. This space embodies the UAE’s entrepreneurial spirit by providing emerging brands with opportunities to connect with wider audiences.
