Latifa Bint Mohammed Celebrates Graduation Of 220 Female Students At Dubai Medical University

H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, attended the 2024 graduation ceremony at Dubai Medical University. This event was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The ceremony celebrated the graduation of 220 female students from various undergraduate and graduate programmes.

This year marks four decades since the founding of Dubai Medical University. Over these years, it has evolved significantly from a college offering specialised medical courses to a leading institution in medical education. The university has been supported by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, who has played a crucial role in its development.

Dubai Medical University is notable for being the first academic institution in the region to incorporate Artificial Intelligence technologies into its curriculum. This initiative aligns with global technological advancements and reflects the university's commitment to staying at the forefront of educational innovation.

Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, spoke at the event. He highlighted the historic transformation envisioned by the university's founder, the late Haji Saeed Lootah. According to him, this vision is embodied by the institution’s leadership, which has helped it achieve an exceptional academic record over nearly half a century.

The university continues to produce healthcare professionals with high expertise and human values, providing healthcare of top standards. Its vision aligns with UAE’s leadership goals for excellence across various fields. The graduation ceremony also included members of the Board of Trustees of the Saeed Ahmed Lootah Charity Foundation and faculty members.

The theme ‘The Mother’ was central to this year's graduation ceremony. It highlighted mothers' essential role in building strong societies by encouraging their children to contribute positively to humanity's progress.

The graduating students pledged loyalty and dedication to their country and its leadership during the ceremony. This pledge underscores their commitment to contributing positively to society and upholding high professional standards in their future careers.
