Hadrovic Mosque Inaugurated In Montenegro With Support From Saudi Arabia
Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Sulaiman Al-Muhanna, representing Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, recently opened the Hadrovic Mosque in Podgorica, Montenegro. The mosque, over 300 years old, was reconstructed and renovated with funding from Saudi Arabia. This initiative aims to strengthen global Muslim ties and ensure mosques serve as centers of knowledge.
The Hadrovic Mosque spans approximately 1,000 square meters and can host more than 1,500 worshippers. It features facilities like a women's prayer area and a basement. These additions aim to promote Islamic teachings and encourage peaceful coexistence among diverse community members.

Sheikh Jamal Rugmatović, Mufti of the capital, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from King Salman bin Abdulaziz and HRH the Crown Prince for global Islamic projects. He noted that this generous backing highlights Saudi Arabia's dedication to supporting Muslims worldwide.
Sheikh Rifat Fejzić, Grand Mufti and President of the Islamic Community in Montenegro, commended Saudi Arabia's leading role in supporting places of worship. He appreciated the Kingdom's efforts in promoting moderation and tolerance through such initiatives.
Podgorica Mayor Olivera Injac acknowledged Saudi Arabia's contributions to projects fostering tolerance and cultural coexistence. She thanked the Kingdom's leadership and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs for their efforts in promoting peace, emphasizing that Hadrovic Mosque will be a hub for community cooperation.
The inauguration event was attended by several dignitaries including Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Atiq, Saudi Ambassador to Albania and Non-resident Ambassador to Montenegro. Government officials from Montenegro and scholars were also present at the ceremony.
The Kingdom's initiative not only supports religious infrastructure but also reinforces values of moderation and peaceful coexistence globally. The Hadrovic Mosque stands as a testament to these efforts, serving as a beacon for learning and unity within the community.
