Kyrgyzstan Economic Growth And UAE Cooperation Spotlight At WGS 2026

Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, said that WGS 2026 gives Kyrgyzstan a strategic chance to share its rapid growth story, attract investment, and deepen links with global partners, while also demonstrating how recent governance reforms and targeted policies are driving fast economic expansion despite limited national resources.

Kasymaliev said the World Governments Summit allows Kyrgyzstan to present its economic and investment potential, explain regional and international challenges, and hold direct talks with foreign governments, investors and business representatives. He stressed that open dialogue during WGS 2026 supports stronger cooperation, encourages new alliances and helps align Kyrgyzstan’s national development agenda with wider global priorities.

Kyrgyzstan Growth and UAE Ties at WGS 2026

Discussing key messages for international partners, Kasymaliev highlighted a dedicated side session held during the summit titled "Kyrgyzstan’s Economic Growth Model ‘Snow Leopard’: Government Accelerators, Institutions, and Investments". He said this event introduced a new approach to public administration and explained how the "Snow Leopard" framework shapes national reforms and investment policies across major sectors of the Kyrgyz economy.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers explained that the Snow Leopard growth model rests on three linked pillars: government accelerators, strong institutions and targeted investments. Through this programme, the Government of Kyrgyzstan has launched focused 100-day reform packages to tackle urgent challenges quickly, and Kasymaliev said 17 such reforms have already been completed since the initiative was introduced.

Kasymaliev underlined that these reforms are designed to speed up decision-making and implementation, strengthen the state’s institutional base and ensure effective public governance. He said that even in a rapidly changing global environment, and with constrained resources, this approach shows that a country can reach accelerated development if management systems work efficiently and institutions are stable and responsive.

Providing recent data, Kasymaliev said Kyrgyzstan’s average annual economic growth over the last four years has ranged between 9 and 10 percent. He noted that, according to the International Monetary Fund, Kyrgyzstan is placed among the top three countries in the world for real GDP growth in 2025, while the national budget has tripled and overall GDP has increased more than 2.5 times.

World Governments Summit, investment climate and UAE cooperation

Looking at the broader policy context, Kasymaliev said Kyrgyzstan is committed to sustainable development principles, economic openness and ongoing reforms to improve the investment climate. Kyrgyzstan, he noted, offers favourable business conditions, access to surrounding regional markets and strong potential in energy, agriculture, logistics, tourism and the green economy, which together provide multiple channels for long-term cooperation.

On relations with the UAE, Kasymaliev said both sides see clear prospects for joint projects in renewable energy, infrastructure, logistics, agriculture and tourism, alongside plans to deepen collaboration in financial services and advanced technologies. "The UAE is an important and reliable partner for Kyrgyzstan, and the country highly values the results of bilateral cooperation achieved to date," Kasymaliev said.

Kasymaliev added that participation in WGS 2026 also lets Kyrgyzstan exchange experiences with other heads of government and international experts on advanced governance systems, while building and strengthening new partnerships. He said that although some observers saw earlier ambitions as slogans five years ago, Kyrgyzstan now counts itself among the world’s five fastest-growing economies, combining modern governance with long-standing national traditions.

Regarding future cooperation after the summit, Kasymaliev said each meeting with UAE representatives provides fresh prospects for shared growth and joint projects, stating that "Kyrgyzstan views every meeting with its Emirati brothers as the beginning of new major initiatives." He said Kyrgyzstan remains positive about the direction of mutual cooperation and is confident that these collective efforts will deliver concrete benefits.
