Kuwait Government Offices To Mark Islamic New Year With July 7 Closure
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has declared that all ministries, government agencies, and public institutions will be closed on Sunday, July 7. This closure is in observance of the Islamic New Year 1446.
In a statement released on the (X) platform on Wednesday, the commission confirmed that this day will be recognised as an official holiday. The announcement also mentioned that official work would resume on Monday, July 8.
Holiday Arrangements
The CSC noted that relevant authorities would decide on the specific holiday arrangements to serve the public interest. This ensures that essential services remain uninterrupted during the holiday period.
According to the commission, these measures are taken to respect and celebrate the Islamic New Year while balancing public service needs.
All government entities are expected to comply with this directive and make necessary adjustments to their schedules accordingly.
This announcement aims to provide clarity and allow citizens and employees to plan accordingly for the upcoming holiday.
The CSC's decision underscores its commitment to observing significant cultural and religious events while maintaining efficient public service operations.
