KSrelief And World Food Program Join Forces To Provide Food Aid In South Sudan

In a significant move to combat food insecurity in South Sudan, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has entered into a collaborative agreement with the World Food Programme (WFP). This partnership, formalized in Paris during the international conference for Sudan and neighboring countries, aims to deliver emergency food assistance to those grappling with severe food shortages. The conference, a joint initiative by France and the European Union, served as the backdrop for this crucial agreement.

The pact was signed by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief, alongside Cindy McCain, the Executive Director of the WFP. The primary goal of this agreement is to address malnutrition among vulnerable groups in South Sudan, specifically targeting children under two years of age as well as pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. By ensuring access to necessary food and health assistance, this initiative is set to benefit 6,265 individuals directly.
