KSrelief Honoured With Global Humanitarian Achievement Award For International Relief Efforts
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has received the Global Humanitarian Achievement Award. This accolade was presented by the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, acknowledging KSrelief's impactful international relief efforts. Delano Roosevelt, the council's second President and CEO, handed the award to KSrelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah in Washington.
Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah expressed that this award signifies global recognition of Saudi Arabia's pivotal role in humanitarian aid through KSrelief. He highlighted the Kingdom's dedication to supporting those in need, aiding crisis-affected individuals, and assisting refugees wherever possible. Established in 2015 under King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's directives, KSrelief has carried out 3,105 projects across 104 countries. These initiatives have amounted to $7.1 billion, covering vital areas such as health, education, food security, shelter, water, and environmental sanitation. The center also coordinates humanitarian operations worldwide.
