KSrelief Inaugurates Water Desalination Project To Aid Residents Of Gaza Strip
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has launched the initial phase of a project to set up water desalination plants in the Gaza Strip. This event was attended by representatives from several United Nations agencies, including UNRWA, UNDP, OCHA, and UNICEF. The project aims to deliver clean water to about 300,000 people in Khan Yunis and the Middle Governorates.
The Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, KSrelief’s partner in Gaza, is managing the installation of these desalination units at strategic locations. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance the water and sanitation infrastructure in the region. It will improve living conditions by providing access to safe drinking water.

Representatives from various UN and international organizations have lauded this project for its crucial humanitarian role. They highlighted its importance in improving residents' quality of life by strengthening essential infrastructure. The availability of potable water is a critical need for daily use in these communities.
Beneficiaries have expressed their heartfelt thanks to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for their ongoing support. They acknowledged the project's significance in addressing urgent water needs. This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's broader efforts through KSrelief to aid Palestinians and ease hardships in Gaza.
