KSrelief Enhances Yemen's Healthcare With Volunteer Medical Projects In Aden
In a significant humanitarian effort, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has recently concluded a series of volunteer medical projects in Yemen's Aden Governorate. These projects, which ran from April 27, showcased a broad spectrum of medical interventions, including surgeries for burns, deformities, and plastic surgery, alongside specialized clinics and volunteer training programs aimed at rehabilitating workers in the sports injuries field. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), marking a pivotal step towards enhancing the healthcare services in the region.
The volunteer medical team from KSrelief, comprising 43 specialists from various fields, successfully performed 226 surgical procedures addressing burns, deformities, and plastic surgery needs. These surgeries were reported to have achieved complete success, highlighting the skill and dedication of the volunteers involved. The impact of these projects extended beyond surgical interventions, with over 1,026 individuals benefiting from dermatology clinics, 2,317 from family medicine clinics, and 587 from dental clinics. Additionally, the initiative saw the rehabilitation of 78 trainees in the sports medicine sector.
