KSrelief Collaborates With UN Volunteers To Boost Global Humanitarian Projects

In a significant meeting held at the headquarters of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) in Riyadh, Director of the Volunteer Programs Department, Ali bin Saad Al-Qarni, engaged with a delegation from the United Nations Volunteers program. The delegation was led by Niels Knudsen, the Chief of External Relations and Communications at the UN Volunteers Program. This encounter underscores the collaborative spirit between global humanitarian entities aimed at enhancing volunteer efforts worldwide.

During this pivotal meeting, Dr. Al-Qarni shed light on the Kingdom's substantial contributions to volunteerism through KSrelief's execution of 597 volunteer projects across 40 countries. These projects span a wide array of sectors including medical, educational, vocational, and training initiatives. A remarkable achievement highlighted was the performance of over 151,000 surgeries, with more than 1.5 million beneficiaries globally. This demonstrates the Kingdom's commitment to addressing the urgent needs of individuals affected by crises around the world.
