KSrelief Establishes Humanitarian Camp For Displaced Palestinians In Southern Gaza Amid Ongoing Crisis

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has set up a camp for displaced Palestinians in Khan Younis, located in southern Gaza. This initiative is in collaboration with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. It was initiated following requests from displaced people living near the coast, whose tents were damaged by high waves.

The camp aims to provide essential support and humanitarian services to those affected, ensuring they have a safe environment amidst difficult conditions. This effort is part of KSrelief's broader campaign to assist the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip. The initiative reflects KSrelief's ongoing commitment to humanitarian aid.

KSrelief Sets Up Camp for Displaced Palestinians

KSrelief has delivered 6,600 tons of food, shelter, and medical supplies to Gaza. These supplies were transported through air and sea bridges using 54 aircraft and eight ships. Additionally, 423 trucks carrying various relief items have crossed into Gaza via the Rafah border crossing.

In addition to these efforts, KSrelief has provided 20 ambulances to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. This contribution is crucial for addressing urgent medical needs in the region. The center's comprehensive approach highlights its dedication to supporting those in need.

Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, partnered with Jordan for an airdrop operation delivering specialized food aid to affected individuals in Gaza. This operation was necessary due to the closure of border crossings by Israeli occupation forces. Such collaborations demonstrate a commitment to overcoming logistical challenges in delivering aid.

Furthermore, KSrelief has entered into seven agreements with various UN organizations. These agreements aim to finance relief projects for displaced people in Gaza, amounting to $84.85 million. This financial support underscores Saudi Arabia's dedication to addressing humanitarian needs effectively.

This comprehensive effort by KSrelief showcases its commitment to providing vital assistance amid challenging circumstances. By establishing this camp and delivering essential supplies, KSrelief continues its mission of supporting vulnerable populations in Gaza.
