KSrelief's Rehabilitation Programs Significantly Empower Youth Across The Globe

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), is dedicated to humanitarian missions. KSrelief's efforts extend beyond aid, focusing on sustainable development by supporting youth. This commitment is evident as KSrelief celebrates World Youth Skills Day on July 15 each year, showcasing its international relief efforts for young people.

KSrelief has initiated numerous projects across various countries, including Palestine, Yemen, Tajikistan, Somalia, Indonesia, Jordan, Chad, and Syria. These initiatives range from vocational training to small business support and capacity building. The aim is to equip youth with skills necessary for the labour market, improving their livelihoods and creating sustainable employment opportunities.

In Yemen, KSrelief launched a project to empower youth and improve livelihoods. This initiative trained 1,250 individuals in vocational and administrative skills. Meanwhile, in Tajikistan, 3,600 young people benefited from computer and English language training programs. Such efforts are crucial in enhancing the employability of young individuals in these regions.

Somalia also witnessed significant support from KSrelief. Here, 570 youths received advanced vocational and entrepreneurial training. In Syria, community care centres were established to offer psychological and social services alongside vocational rehabilitation. These centres trained 29,988 individuals in various technical skills while providing entertainment programs to boost social adaptation capabilities.

In Jordan's Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees, KSrelief provided educational and vocational services to 4,468 individuals. Training included computer skills and vocational crafts. Indonesia saw a volunteer training program involving 440 youths in first aid and search and rescue operations.

In Chad's capital N'Djamena, KSrelief focused on empowering women by training 270 individuals in sewing, embroidery, culinary arts, and computer maintenance. This initiative aimed at helping them secure sustainable income sources. Similarly, in Palestine, a vocational centre was established for women in need.

Commitment to Sustainable Development

The Palestinian centre trained women in food processing, microfinance management, and handicrafts through partnerships with local institutions. These efforts reflect KSrelief's dedication to integrated economic support and social empowerment within communities.

KSrelief's initiatives aim to inspire hope among youth while enhancing their confidence and potential. These actions align with Saudi Arabia's commitment to building human capital in crisis-affected countries while supporting the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
