KSrelief Supports Women In Yemen With Essential Vocational Tools
In a significant move towards empowering women in Yemen, the King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center (KSrelief) has provided vocational tools to 40 women in the Seiyun Directorate of Yemen's Hadhramaut Governorate. These women, who are the primary earners for orphans, are part of an empowerment program aimed at supporting orphaned girls by equipping their families with essential training and skills across various fields.
This initiative falls under a broader project that seeks to re-enroll girls who have dropped out of school back into the education system. This project is a collaborative effort between KSrelief and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO). The overarching goal is to foster self-reliance among these families by offering 14 educational and training courses. These courses cover a wide range of skills including sewing, embroidery, incense and perfume making, food industries, technology, and photography.

By mastering these skills, the beneficiary families are expected to enhance their economic and social status, which in turn will positively impact the education of their daughters. The project has set an ambitious target to benefit 280 trainees across several governorates of Yemen, including Lahj, Abyan, Marib, Hadhramaut, and Socotra.
This initiative is a testament to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to empowering families and underscoring the importance of education for girls. KSrelief, serving as the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom, is at the forefront of implementing this project. The efforts by KSrelief in Yemen highlight the Kingdom's dedication to humanitarian aid and support across various sectors.
The provision of vocational tools to these women not only aims at immediate economic upliftment but also at long-term societal change by emphasizing the value of education for girls. This initiative is a step forward in ensuring that families have the means to support themselves while prioritizing education for their children.
